Step-by-Step Self-Catering and B&B is an accommodation establishment situated in Glenhaven, a low-density suburb to the south of Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa. It is very close to the Sacks Circle, Kasselvei, Stikland, and Brackengate industrial areas. The establishment has 6 rooms made up of 1x double room; 1x self-catering room; 2x king rooms; and 2x adjoining king rooms. The 2 adjoining rooms, when combined, are popularly known as the family room, but can now be booked separately. Each room has its own private bathroom and the king rooms come in 2 alternative bed arrangements - either a king size bed or 2 single beds. The double room and the king rooms accommodate up to 2 people each, while the self-catering room, which has got its own private kitchenette, can be set up to accommodate one person when a seating area is included, or 2 people when set up with 2 single beds. This means all in all, the establishment can accommodate up 12 people in the 6 rooms. The accommodation provides secure parking and aims to be a home away from home for people coming from out of town to work in the area for short periods.

Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower, hand soap, shower gel and towels; a TV with OpenView, Netflix and Youtube; Bar Fridge; Microwave oven; Electric jug / kettle; Tea and coffee facilities; closet; pedestal fan; fan heater; Desk and chair; bedside tables and lamps, and Free WiFi. In addition, all rooms have access to a common lounge where guests, optionally, get to relax, socialize, and watch their favorite DSTV Compact channels. They also have access to a common open-plan kitchen where they get to make their favorite homemade meals should they crave for one. Breakfast is an optional extra and can be ordered from the guesthouse at an additional cost. Guests can also order in using Uber Eats, Mr. Delivery or Bolt Food, while takeaway and dining restaurants are a stone-throw away for those willing to take the drive. A backyard with braai facilities and a communal park across the road are also available for guests' use and enjoyment.

This room accommodates 2 people and comes with either a king size bed or 2 single beds (twin beds), depending on the guest's preference. A has a large window that brings in lots of natural light and is furnished will all the amenities listed above.

This room also accommodates 2 people and comes with either a king size bed or 2 single beds (twin beds), depending on the guest's preference. As the name suggests, it is the only room with a fireplace, which guests can use during the cold winter nights, if they bring their own firewood or charcoal.

Adjoining Room 1

This room comes with either a king size bed or 2 single (twin) beds to accommodate 2 people. It can be booked with the other adjoining room to form a family unit of up to 4 people. Of the 2 adjoining, this room is conveniently located to offer easy access to the common lounge and kitchen and is accessible from inside the guesthouse.

This room also comes with either a king size bed or 2 single (twin) beds to accommodate 2 people. It can be booked with the other adjoining room to form a family unit of up to 4 people. When booked separately, it is accessible as a separate entrance room through the sliding door that opens onto the garden or backyard.

This room is small and cozy and only comes with a double bed and no other alternative bed arrangement. It is ideally suited for one person or a couple. The room also accommodates 2 people and has the same amenities as the other rooms.

Self-catering Unit
Self-catering Unit
This self-catering unit has its own private kitchenette. It is ideally suited for one person coming to town for work, although it can accommodate up to 2 people (singles) when an extra bed is added. The set up for one person includes a relaxation chair and coffee table to create a seating area. It can also be viewed as a separate entrance giving its occupants additional privacy and easy access to the backyard and garden.

About Glenhaven
Glenhaven is a small, peaceful, safe and friendly low-density suburb to the south of Bellville. It is centrally located and is in close proximity to most industrial areas, universities, hospitals, shopping malls and major highways. The area is pretty much safe, you are unlikely to see high boundary walls or fencing on the properties of those residents who have stayed in the area for decades. Any fenced properties are mostly by newcomers to the area, who are more security conscious, probably having moved from areas where security was an issue. There are only 2 entry points into the suburb, both from the Peter Barlow Road.
