About us
Step-by-Step Self-Catering and B&B is an accommodation establishment situated in Glenhaven, a low-density suburb to the south of Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa. It can accommodate up to 12 people between its 6 rooms.
Each room has ensuite bathrooms with walk-in shower, toilet and basin, and are furnished with different bed arrangements, a pedestal fan, TV with OpenView and Netflix, bar fridge, microwave oven, electric jug, tea and coffee facilities, desk and chair (except for one room), bedside tables and lamps and have access to a common lounge and kitchen. The rooms, however, have differences as highlighted under each room description, and thus have different prices.
Guests can relax in their rooms watching OpenView, Netflix or Youtube, or in the common lounge watching their favourite DSTV Compact channels. Guests also have access to the backyard and braai facilities and the communal park across the road.
With regards to meals, breakfast can be pre-ordered from the guesthouse for an additional extra. Guests also have the option to make their own meals in the common open-plan kitchen, which is the most-preferred choice by most of our guests, or order in using Uber Eats, Mr. Delivery or Bolt Food. Takeaway and dining restaurants are also nearby for those willing to take the drive.

Accommodates 2 people and comes with either a king size bed or 2 single beds (twin beds), depending on the guest's preference.

Accommodates 2 people and is just like the standard king room, but as the name suggests, is the only room with a fireplace.

This interleading room is accessible from inside the guesthouse and comes with either a king size bed or 2 single (twin) beds. It can be booked with the other adjoining room to form a family unit of up to 4 people.

This adjoining room is accessible from the garden or backyard and also comes with either a king size bed or 2 single (twin) beds. t can be booked with the other adjoining room to form a family unit of up to 4 people.

Only comes with a double bed and is ideally suitable for one person or a couple

Self-catering Unit
Accommodates up to 2 people (singles). When booked by one person for a longer stay (e.g. a month), one of the single beds is replaced by a relaxation chair and coffee table to create a seating area.

About Glenhaven
Glenhaven is a small, peaceful, safe and friendly low-density suburb to the south of Bellville. It is centrally located and is in close proximity to most industrial areas, universities, hospitals, shopping malls and major highways. The area is pretty much safe, you are unlikely to see high boundary walls or fencing on the properties of those residents who have stayed in the area for decades. Any fenced properties are mostly by newcomers to the area, who are more security conscious, probably having moved from areas where security was an issue. There are only 2 entry points into the suburb, both from the Peter Barlow Road.
